Welcome to the space where I blabber about random stuff.

!!Warning, personal opinion ahead !!

When did Github become such abhorrent bullshit?

Genuinely, using GitHub the very small times I need to is such a horrible task. Its so hard to just get done what you need done because of it's slow, unintuitive UI and awful UX.

I was looking at a project on Github today and loading a single page took me over 3 fucking minutes. My internet was fine and loading any other page from any other site perfectly but Github just wouldn't fucking load.

If it was a massive, unused project, sure. But I was trying to load a single class file from a project that isn't exactly dead. What are we doing???

Not mentioning github's annoying and confusing UI. I'm not sure if it's just me being used to Codeberg/Forgejo's UI from the start of me basically using git or if it's just actually this painful to navigate for those who actually use it.

And if you try to even visit the site while not signed in you get rated limited so much. God forbid I navigate twice on github on my laptop that isn't signed in.

I mostly stay away from GitHub and use either Codeberg, my own Forgejo instance or GitLab instance, but for some things I do need to use GitHub (mostly for stuff like automatically pushing my website). Even doing that is such a pain when you have to intervene with it

It's just sad that it's became the 'norm'. You don't really see many people actually use the other options and mostly just use GitHub because ... well thats where most people do it. I hope we can soon find something that has the amount of people on it that GitHub has but has the attention to detail that platforms like Forgejo does.

woa

That's kind of crazy, I never thought a project that I made would be downloaded this many times.

Thank you to anyone who downloads and uses any of my projects if you're reading this

I genuinely considered stopping developing VP+ for a bit (before 26-2.0), but the project has basically just kept growing since

Test post to confirm commit signing on codeberg

Sorta realised I never said it before, but:

blah :p

If this heat doesn't stop, I'm going to cry my eyes out

Tor route was down for a bit - not sure of how long. ipv4 was being annoying. I'll try and add tor to rayhl.org's status later.
For now though, it's back up

this'll work trust
this post is mostly for testing
